1. Acceptance
By using ExplorersMap you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. The service
ExplorersMap lets you track countries, regions, and places you have visited, compete on leaderboards, and share your travel profile. Features may change or be discontinued at any time.
3. Your account
- You must provide accurate information when signing up.
- You are responsible for keeping your account secure.
- One account per person. Do not impersonate others.
- Usernames must not be offensive, misleading, or infringe third-party rights.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Abuse, scrape, or overload our systems.
- Attempt to access other users' data.
- Post false travel data to manipulate leaderboards.
- Post spam, harassment, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise unlawful content, impersonate others, or share links to malware or illegal material.
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
5. User content
You own your travel data. By submitting it you grant us a licence to store and display it as part of the service. We do not claim ownership of your data.
The feed and profiles may let you post text and reshare links to third-party content. You are solely responsible for anything you post, you confirm you have the right to share it, and posts you make to the public feed are visible to anyone. We do not endorse and are not responsible for user-posted content or the third-party pages it links to. We may remove any content and suspend or ban accounts, at our discretion and without notice, for violating these terms. You can report content in-app or by emailing [email protected].
6. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for data loss, service interruptions, or any indirect damages. Geographic data is sourced from open datasets and may contain inaccuracies.
7. Termination
We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting [email protected].
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. Disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of French courts.
