Toss a coin in the fountain
Make a wish and keep the map exploring. They say it means you'll travel again.

What your support pays for
ExplorersMap is free, has no investors, and is built by one person in the evenings. These are the real running costs.
Google's map in Explore
$18 / month = 1,000 more map tiles a day
Explore mode shows Google's map for the first 3,000 map tiles each day, the free allowance. After that, everyone drops to OpenStreetMap until it resets. Support raises that limit for everyone.
The server
One server in Germany runs everything: your map, the games, the leaderboards, Explorers' Earth. No ads-and-tracking business behind it.
Sign-in links and the occasional notification.
The domain
explorersmap.net itself.
What's next, in order
- Google's map for everyone, all day. No more switching to OpenStreetMap when the daily allowance runs out.
- Satellite view in Explore. See the real ground under the places you've been.
- Photos and details for places. Richer pages for the 90,000+ places you can mark.
These are goals, not promises: each one switches on once support covers what it costs to run.
